Artrox Film-coated Glucosamine is used to relieve the symptoms of mild to moderate osteoarthritis (joint wear and tear).
The active substance in Artrox is glucosamine, which is naturally produced in the body from glucose (a type of sugar). Glucosamine is essential for the body to produce large molecules found in joint fluid and cartilage.
Artrox belongs to the group of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory and anti-rheumatic drugs.
Note: Artrox should not be used by individuals with shellfish allergies, as the active ingredient is derived from shellfish.
Dosage & Usage
- The usual starting dose is 1 tablet twice daily.
- After symptom relief is achieved, the dose may be reduced to 1 tablet daily.
- Artrox should not be used for longer than 1 month without consulting a doctor.
- If no symptom relief is observed after 2–3 months, treatment with glucosamine should be re-evaluated.
- Not recommended for individuals under 18 years of age.
- For oral use. Tablets should be swallowed with liquid.
Ingredients
The active substance is glucosamine. Each tablet contains 625 mg of glucosamine (as glucosamine hydrochloride). Other ingredients: povidone, calcium phosphate, microcrystalline cellulose, crospovidone, magnesium stearate, polyvinyl alcohol, talc, macrogol, titanium dioxide (E 171), yellow iron oxide (E 172), red iron oxide (E 172), and black iron oxide (E 172).
